As Construction Manager, you will:
- Plan and organize projects from the commencement of construction, once design is complete
- Schedule subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers after preparing regular one-week and one-month look-ahead schedules
- Manage day-to-day operations on the job site, overseeing safety, quality, and compliance
- Inspect work throughout construction to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Resolve any on-site issues as they arise
- Oversee and monitor daily trade functions, workmanship quality, and completion of tasks
- Assist with ordering materials and tracking inventory
- Schedule and attend all municipal inspections, rectifying issues as required
- Manage the construction schedule and handle site changes or improvements when necessary
- Enforce safety standards and regulations within your authority
- Maintain cleanliness on all active construction sites
- Use BuilderTrend software to monitor and control projects, including recording daily logs, to-do's and updating the construction schedule
- Assist with site work as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
You bring and will continuously build upon the following skills:
- Leadership \& Team Coordination: Ability to guide internal team, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors toward successful project completion
- Organizational \& Planning Expertise: Skilled in juggling multiple tasks, setting and communicating priorities, and meeting deadlines
- Problem-Solving \& Adaptability: Comfortable addressing unexpected challenges and making sound decisions on the fly
- Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous about quality, safety, and accuracy in work
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in (or willingness to learn) construction management software (e.g., BuilderTrend) and willingness to learn new tools
You have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or suitable combination of education and/or relevant industry experience
- Proven track record in residential or light commercial construction management
- Familiarity with local building codes and inspection processes
- Experience in scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
- Knowledge of safety regulations, best practices, and compliance standards
- Valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation
- Relevant certifications (e.g., working at heights) are a plus

Salary Range is expected between:$80,000--$110,000
