We are currently seeking a Cloud Solution Architect with expertise in AWS and Azure to support a strategic cloud modernization initiative for a Insurance services client.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect who will lead and design the migration of legacy thin client applications to cloud environments (AWS \& Azure). This role requires deep technical expertise in containerization, event-driven architecture, cloud-native databases, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will collaborate with enterprise architects, DevOps engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to drive cloud adoption and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of cloud solutions for thin client application migration to AWS and Azure.
- Define and implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
- Design event-driven systems leveraging AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Develop scalable and secure cloud database architectures (e.g., DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Aurora, Azure SQL).
- Establish data protection and cloud security policies in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct assessments of existing environments and provide detailed migration roadmaps.
- Document solution architectures, deployment processes, and technical standards.
Required Skills \& Qualifications:
- Proven experience with thin client application migration to cloud.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and microservices.
- In-depth knowledge of event-driven architecture design and cloud-native services.
- Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in cloud database solutions and data security design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a strong plus.
