About the opportunity:The Director, Marketing is responsible for leading and delivering profitable and sustainable growth on a portfolio of businesses, as well as setting the strategic direction and leading the long-term strategy and business health of the portfolio.
The Director, Marketing will also be responsible for developing, retaining and attracting strong talent and building a high-performing team. The attributes we are looking for:Brand Equity / Strategy. Lead development of marketing / brand strategies and strategic priorities across a portfolio of brands.
Develop the long-term strategy and vision to set up the portfolio for sustainable growth. Analysis and Insights into Action. Lead and coach the team to develop strong business acumen and generate insights and action plans.
Leverage powerful insights to guide marketing and business strategies. Communication \& Media Strategy. Partner with agencies to inspire and execute impactful creative that drives brand love.
Lead communication strategy to build brand equity, drive consumer loyalty and win market share. People \& Cross-Functional Team Leadership. Align the Division and cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal and galvanize the team behind your strategic vision for the brand/business.
Develop a team of direct reports to build strong future leadership. Business Acumen/Management. Manage a P\&L for profitable growth and lead a team to deliver against a strong vision and business objectives
Innovation/Renovation. In partnership with the Innovation Director, leverage insights, analytics and brand strategy to deliver a long-term innovation and renovation strategy that builds brand loyalty and drives sales. What you will bring:University degree in business (MBA preferred)Minimum 8 -- 10 years progressive leadership experience and demonstrated results in FMCG brand management, Tier 1 CPG experience preferred
Strong strategic planning and thought leadership, with ability to make tough decisions under complex, challenging, or ambiguous situations A strong growth mindset and drive for results
Highly analytical, with ability to turn data and insight into actionable strategy and a narrative that champions the brand An inspiring people leader with demonstrated ability to develop, lead and motivate a high-performing team and to rally cross-functional teams behind their vision
Demonstrated ability to achieve success through others and build strong followership and relationships, both internally and externally
Passion for the consumer and brand-building with track record of developing winning marketing campaigns that drive results
Bilingual (English/French) language skills an asset
