The Role Assistant General Manager
Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage teams, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management
- Attend and contribute to regular operations meetings focused on revenue, labor, and employee feedback
- Oversee daily inventory and venue readiness to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure liquor license compliance and responsible service standards
- Champion internal feedback programs and VIP experiences
- Support marketing and event execution across all Gibbons nightclubs
- Uphold Core Values: Encourage Trust, Have fun, Show Kindness, Lead with Purpose and Commit to Excellence
- Staff training, ensuring the team understand the 7-day programming and targets for the day including product knowledge
- Shift inventory to ensure the business is set up for success the following shift
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, supervisory or management experience an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Administration and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, POS systems, and employee timekeeping software.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- A passion for nightlife culture and creating memorable experiences.
- Ability to work late hours and weekends.
- Serving It Right certification.
- First-Aid (OFA 1 equivalent) is an asset.
