Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Canada - "Remote"
Citizenship is required. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using best practices.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
- Ensure cloud environments are secure, cost-optimized, and compliant with company standards.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to streamline application deployment.
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability setups.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of networking, security groups, IAM roles, and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of other cloud providers (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
