Role Overview
As an IT Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, system repairs, and IT support. You will assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth operations for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware \& Software Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Component Replacement: Assist in replacing faulty components such as RAM, hard drives, motherboards, and power supplies.
- System Installation \& Updates: Install operating systems, drivers, and required software while ensuring all updates and security patches are applied.
- Data Security \& Backup: Secure and back up important data before performing repairs or system changes.
- Testing \& Validation: Conduct post-repair testing to confirm system stability and functionality.
- Logistics \& Inventory Management: Collect required parts from the warehouse, transport them to customer locations, and return faulty parts as needed.
- Customer Assistance: Provide basic user support, repair reports, and guidance on system maintenance and best practices.
- Device Handover: Ensure repaired devices are properly verified and returned to users.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of hardware components, troubleshooting, and software installation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to IT support processes.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
