Bilsland Griffith Benefit Administrators is a third party pension and benefit plan administrator based in Burnaby. We work closely with the members and Trustees of negotiated cost pension and benefit plans in delivering superior member service and accurate plan administration. Our team is made up of pension and benefit administrators, data analysts, accountants, support staff and consultants, focusing on making sure that plan members understand the benefits that have been negotiated on their behalf.

We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst responsible for reconciling employer contributions from various plans administered through Bilsland Griffith Benefit Administrators (BG). This information determines eligibility for health and welfare benefits as well as pension benefits.
Responsibilities will include:Employer Contributions ReconciliationProcess contribution reports from clients
Reconcile cheques from employers and create remittances
Reconcile funds in accounts for deposit to the appropriate accounts
Enter data into spreadsheet and determine eligibility consistent with Plan provisions
Create monthly self payment notices and follow up as necessary
Apply plan provisions to create spreadsheets for use in calculating pension amounts
Liaise with participating employers to create efficient processes and forms for remittance of data electronically
Assist in production of client reports for Board meetings
Support Senior Data Analysts with audit and valuation data requests

Focus on work-life balance and career satisfaction. Competencies and Skills:Work Experience:2-3 years previous data administration experience, preferably within finance, analytics or pension environments. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Advanced math and analytical skills.
Advanced level skills using a variety of computerized software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), related databases and Internet.Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.

The successful candidate will be provided with a competitive salary, benefits and vacation package, along with opportunity for continuous growth within their career. The salary range for the successful candidate is $50,000 to $70,000, plus a generous bonus and competitive benefits package/RRSP plan.
