We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to innovative electrical system designs for large-scale EPC projects in the oil \& gas sector. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that shape critical infrastructure. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of complex electrical systems using 2D and 3D modeling tools.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings. Design and integrate switchgear, motor control centers, and power distribution systems. Develop control system architectures (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) and optimize HMI interfaces for monitoring and control.
Implement safety systems such as emergency shutdowns (ESD) and fire/gas detection systems. Perform load flow studies, short circuit calculations, and motor starting analyses. Ensure compliance with industry standards like IEC, IEEE, and NEMA.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must have valid P.Eng. (Professional Engineering) LicenseMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design for heavy engineering projects.
Proficiency in 2D CAD (e.g., AutoCAD) and 3D modeling tools. Strong knowledge of electrical equipment like transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers. Experience with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT).
Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems design. Understanding of hazardous area classification and equipment selection.
