About The Program Support Officer Role
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Providing a comprehensive range of support services to the professors, program coordinators (PCs), external stakeholders, and students.
- Administrative, program, financial, human resources, communications, and inter-departmental support.
- Act as a resource to professors, PCs, administrators, and students on the application of the Polytechnic's academic policies and procedures.
- Providing project coordination, scheduling, and logistical support for program/service delivery, working with multiple team members and program partners, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- It is expected that the incumbent will continue to develop opportunities that directly impact the learning environment. The volume and diversity of students, professors, education trainers, and industry partners encountered enhances the customer service requirements of this role. Education
Experience/Skills
- Experience with compiling and analyzing research-based data from various sources, producing reports, and identifying trends from data to develop solutions and strategies
- Experience with proofreading communications and a variety of communication platforms
- Experience with supporting academic program delivery
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Experience supporting special events
- Proficiency with a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Learning Management Systems (Banner)
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use a range of office equipment - phone, photocopier, printer, and troubleshoot technical minor problems
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
