Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Business Systems Analyst with experience in building payment and capital markets systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with a strategic understanding of financial systems, offering a vital bridge between technical and business teams. The ideal candidate will also have proficiency in JSON, Python, and SQL, with the ability to write professional documentation that meets both technical and business needs.
The Project:
This is a greenfield initiative to completely build out the banks US entity as part of the banks ongoing US expansion for global transaction banking systems for the banks corporate needs. The bank will build over 20 greenfield applications to support one vendor platform to provide to US clients like direct deposit systems, cash management systems and facilities, AML, Regulatory Reporting, and client onboarding to name a few. This will be the banks largest program over the next 2-3 years.
Key Skills
- Payments and Cash Management Expertise: Work closely with and IT and the business to build multiple payment and cash management systems for the banks US entity. Specialisms and experience in ACH, Payment Systems, Wire Payments, Cash Management, Swift Wires, Billing Systems, Fed Wire - Domestic Wired in the US AML \& Sanction Screening will be a great value to this program. Candidates that have extensive experience in US Cash Management Systems, US Cash Management Solutions, US Cash Management Commercial Banking will be highly desired.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work with the regulatory teams to understand the regulations and document requirements. Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to integrate required regulatory frameworks into system designs of the connected systems/processes.
- Data Analysis \& Reporting: Leverage SQL and Python for querying and analyzing data to generate actionable insights for business teams. Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed, clear, and accurate documentation to support both business and technical stakeholders. This includes requirements documents, user manuals, technical specs, and training materials.
- Collaboration \& Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business, IT, and finance teams. Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment across departments.
- System Troubleshooting \& Issue Resolution: Assist in diagnosing and resolving system issues, working closely with technical teams to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
Education \& Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry
Technical Skills:
- JSON: Ability to read and write JSON to support data integration and API work.
- Python: Foundational knowledge in Python for data manipulation and scripting tasks.
- SQL: Proficient in Complex SQL for querying and managing data within relational databases.
- Familiarity with API integrations, especially in Payments and Capital Market systems
