About the Opportunity
My client is seeking a forward-thinking and technically strong Integration Development Manager to lead a team focused on real-time integrations across enterprise systems. This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working arrangements---primarily from the head office in BC or your home office within the Lower Mainland. We are also open to qualified candidates based in Ontario.
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of secure, low-latency, and high-availability integration solutions using MuleSoft and Azure Integration Services, supporting mission-critical operations in a regulated financial services environment. You will define and enforce best practices in code management, security, and compliance while driving the adoption of modern integration and DevSecOps strategies.
What You'll Do
✔ Lead a team of developers delivering real-time integrations using .NET, MuleSoft, and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Azure Functions)
✔ Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and high-throughput integration patterns for financial systems
✔ Embed security best practices including data encryption, access control, and compliance alignment
✔ Define and enforce robust code management practices (e.g., Git, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines)
✔ Collaborate with security, cloud, and architecture teams to integrate security by design
✔ Promote observability and monitoring to proactively detect and resolve integration issues
✔ Work cross-functionally with product managers, solution architects, and business teams to translate requirements into technical designs
✔ Provide mentorship and leadership to developers, fostering a collaborative team environment
✔ Stay up to date on trends and emerging tech in messaging, integration, and cloud platforms
What You Bring
✅ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
✅ 12+ years in enterprise software/integration development, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
✅ Hands-on expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs
✅ Proven experience with real-time messaging, API-first design, and event-driven architecture
✅ Strong knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Azure Functions)
✅ Deep understanding of compliance and security protocols (OAuth2, TLS, encryption, RBAC)
✅ Experience with observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights, Splunk, Elastic)
✅ Proficiency in source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and multi-platform release management
Nice to Have
⭐ Microsoft Azure or MuleSoft certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, MuleSoft Integration Architect)
⭐ Experience in regulated environments such as banking, capital markets, or fintech
⭐ Familiarity with pub/sub systems and streaming tools like Kafka, Event Grid, Event Hubs
⭐ Exposure to Agile and secure SDLC practices
