Our challenge
We are seeking a Fixed Income Systems Engineer with 3-5 years of experience and a strong understanding of fixed income domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will leverage their programming skills in Perl, Java, and SQL to quickly comprehend system architectures, manage data feeds, and collaborate with development teams to implement necessary integrations and enhancements across diverse systems.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze existing fixed income systems and their high-level architecture, including data feeds and integration processes.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify requirements and ask pertinent questions to ensure effective system integration.
- Implement small changes and enhancements to existing systems to improve functionality and ensure compliance with cataloguing requirements.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and ensuring the smooth operation of fixed income applications.
- Document processes, system changes, and integration workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a systems engineering or application support role, with a focus on fixed income financial products.
- Proficient in programming languages including Perl, Java, and SQL; familiarity with C++ is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, Autosys, and shell scripting, as well as data formats such as JSON and YAML.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in quickly learning new systems and technologies, demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
