Field Service Technician (Medical Devices)

What You'll Do:

Perform diagnostics, repairs, testing, and calibration of electro-mechanical and optical medical equipment
Conduct quality control inspections and modify new equipment to meet CSA standards
Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, including handling inquiries via phone or email
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems on-site at customer locations
Offer basic training to clients on equipment care and maintenance to optimize performance and reduce downtime
Manage travel arrangements to and from customer locations independently
Ensure all service reports are sent to clients and follow-ups are completed within 24 hours of service
Track, process, and return service parts and defective components accurately and on time
Submit detailed and accurate documentation of all service activities using company software within 24 hours
Develop technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collect relevant technical data as needed
Lead the implementation of equipment upgrades and technical updates
Support new product launches with training, documentation, system setup, stock recommendations, and service plans
Diploma in Electronics Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
2--5 years of experience in a related technical service role
Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided)
Experience with laser systems is a strong asset
Proficiency in reading schematics, troubleshooting, and using electronic testing equipment
Solid understanding of optical and laser fundamentals
Must be legally
