Job Purpose:
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and supporting the company's growth. This role involves assisting with sales strategies, coordinating business development projects, and ensuring smooth customer onboarding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in acquiring new customers through inbound and outbound channels, developing and implementing strategies to attract potential clients, and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners.
- Serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Manages customer accounts including maintaining communication, ensuring satisfaction, and acting as a bridge between customers and internal teams.
- Prepares and sends quotations, handles invoicing, and ensures timely payment collection.
- Supports the development of standardized processes and documentation to ensure efficiency in business development activities.
- Assists in implementing creative sales strategies, analyzing market trends, and adjusting approaches to support business growth.
- Helps with new customer onboarding, from initial contact to full operational launch.
- Supports business development projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Participates in industry associations and networking events to maintain and grow industry presence.
- Conducts feasibility studies for new business opportunities, identifying potential markets, and supporting innovation initiatives.
- Collaborates with the marketing team to align business development with marketing efforts, supporting promotional campaigns and branding initiatives.
- Assists in monitoring business development activities, tracking key performance indicators, and reporting on progress.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the bottle washing, recycling, or industrial cleaning industry is an asset, as well as knowledge of market trends and competitive landscapes.
- The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A valid driver's license is required for this role.
Languages:
- Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role may require travel for customer meetings, trade fairs, and site visits. Work may occasionally extend beyond regular business hours to accommodate customer needs and project deadlines. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to remain focused under pressure.
