Join Our Team as a Controller -- Lead with Financial Excellence!
Are you a detail-driven finance leader with a passion for accuracy, process, and strategic impact? We're looking for a Controller to join our team and take charge of our financial operations while supporting executive-level decision-making.
Salary Range: $110,000 -- $140,000 per year
What You'll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable, and receivables.
- Support preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Drive timely invoicing and cash collection while managing supplier payments and documentation.
- Lead payroll processing and ensure all remittances and compliance filings are accurate and timely.
- Manage credit approvals, cash flow forecasting, and margin analysis across departments.
- Collaborate on inventory, costing, pricing, and support of financial decisions company-wide.
- Champion ERP and third-party payroll system implementation and ongoing optimization.
- Lead IT function and vendor relations while ensuring system integrity and user training.
- Mentor and supervise accounting staff with a focus on performance, accuracy, and growth.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
- 5--8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- Expertise in IFRS, job costing, project-based accounting, and payroll systems
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
- Experience in private equity-backed environments considered a strong asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- A continuous improvement approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
