Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Registered as a Professional Engineer in your province/territory.

8 years of experience in preparation of tender packages, requisitions specifications, bid evaluations, package follow-up and vendor documents and drawing reviews.

Experience with mining and port bulk material handling equipment such as, conveyors, feeders, stockpiles, crushers, rail unloading facilities, ports and terminals, shiploader and stockyard equipment.

Experience performing calculations and design for bulk handling equipment and facilities.

Knowledge of conveyor modelling software

Knowledge of discrete element modelling (DEM)

Ability to lead project scope with some supervision.

Comfortable interacting with clients and providing direction to vendors and contractors.

Prior experience working with an engineering consulting firm, equipment vendors or mining companies on mining, mineral processing and port projects

Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project).

Working knowledge of CAD, SmartPlant, 3-D software is preferred
