Position: Account Manager -- Ontario (Mississauga-based) Location: Mississauga (Hybrid -- 1 day onsite) Salary: Competitive and based on experience Job Type: Permanent Our client, a leader in the Canadian food marketplace is seeking a passionate and results-driven Account Manager to join their Ontario team, based in Mississauga. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of established clients while actively growing their customer base within your assigned territory. Your focus will be on building strong relationships, driving sales, and supporting innovation in the R\&D space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow sales within your existing client portfolio and actively identify and develop new business opportunities---primarily within R\&D departments.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product lines and the principal brands we represent in order to deliver impactful presentations and solutions to clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to help clients meet their development goals.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of innovation projects and product samples tailored to customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitive activity, and client feedback to help shape strategy.
- Prepare and submit timely reports and documentation related to sales activity, client meetings, and pipeline updates.
Qualifications \& Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required (a background in Food Science is considered a strong asset).
- 3--5 years of experience in ingredient sales (not consumer packaged goods).
- Experience within Food Services or the Ingredients industry.
- Solid technical understanding of ingredients and their application in product development.
- Proven experience in customer relationship management and new business development.

- Meticulous attention to detail, especially in managing technical documentation.
- Strong business acumen, creativity, and a quick learner when it comes to technical content.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills---both written and verbal.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Willingness to travel outside of the region for trade shows and client meetings.
- Commitment to upholding BRC corporate standards in daily work.
