Reconnect, in addition to its core work with clients, is involved in several initiatives through its Community Shared Services Collaborative. These initiatives focus on building capacity both internally and within the broader healthcare system through digital health and process improvement. The Technology Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting organizational growth by contributing to system improvement and technology change management initiatives.

Our services include supports for seniors, caregivers, and people living with mental health and addictions concerns. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with exceptional organizational skills. They should have experience in process analysis and improvement and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are also essential qualities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supports and maintains technology services, virtualization systems, information systems, databases, and Active Directory infrastructure
- Conducts assessments, gathers requirements, provides analysis and proposes improvements to improve efficiency and align technology with business objectives
- Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues from IT systems and infrastructure
- In response to organizational and user needs, designs, deploys and upgrades network services and architectures (software and hardware) including, but not limited to, physical networks, servers, routers, cabling, switches, firewalls and VPNs
- Effectively manage stakeholder relationships at all levels by communicating their insights and recommendations, providing an overview of available services and proposing tailored solutions for their review that address business problems and leverage technology effectively
- Develop reports, correspondence, and briefing notes as needed for internal and external stakeholders
- Anticipates potential barriers to success and mitigates risk including the creation of contingency plans
- Delivers all services in a professional manner and in accordance to established guidelines and associated benchmarks;
- Exercise the utmost discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information,
- Other duties as required.
Technical and Behavioural Competencies Required:
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in information technology with some experience in a business and/or sales setting
- Proven experience supporting one or more areas, processes, or technologies around platforms and technologies for capabilities enablement
- Formal and informal training in and experience with computer and networking technologies and the use of relevant equipment and software
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
- Familiarity with procedures and best practices to protect privacy and security of confidential, personal and private information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills; responsive and flexible in regards to evolving responsibilities and a changing environment
- Able to work independently and in a team setting
- Able to liaise with external vendors or consultants
- Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Ability to quickly learn and understand the operations of Reconnect and the optimum use of computer technology to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency
- Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle is required.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple high-impact priorities
- Exceptional (written and verbal) communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Develops lasting, positive and value-adding relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and keep stakeholders effectively engaged in the process
- Able to interpret data and use it to develop effective and appropriate business plans
NOTE: Reconnect requires a criminal background check for all employees, volunteers and students.
Workplace Requirements:
- Works a 37.5 hour workweek, Monday through Friday and as needed after hours and on weekends.
- Office Based position, travel to different locations as needed
- Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the project and the agency.
- May provide services at the Reconnect offices and at satellite locations.
- Attendance at outside meetings and special events required from time-to-time.
