We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our ranks!
Purpose of the role
The Business Analyst plays a key role in data management, process management, governance, and optimization within the procurement and supply chain functions. This position ensures compliance with policies and key metrics, drives process excellence and improvements as well as supports system enhancements that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analytics, process optimization, and procurement systems.
Here are the daily responsibilities for a Business Analyst:
Data Management \& Compliance
- Maintain and update databases and data systems ensuring accuracy and integrity, including price and commercial conditions, lead times,
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns and gaps to monitor compliance and drive compliant behaviors
- Support the yearly catalogue and price escalation process
Process Improvement \& Excellence
- Design, maintain and implement cross-value-stream supply chain processes:
- End-to-end operational logistics processes (PR to Invoice)
- Backorder management and quote processes
- Claim, amendment and sourcing processes
- Supplier performance management processes
- Cost-savings/Cost-Avoidance/Budget processes
- Drive process excellence initiatives and process improvement initiatives, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Develop and maintain templates, boilerplates, playbooks and knowledge management tools.
- Provide onboarding toolkit, knowledge base as well as training materials and curriculum to support supply chain value streams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from the value-streams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with company goals.
Governance \& Reporting
- Extract, analyze and prepare data reports and presentations to support governance activities within the supply chain organization and with other departments.
- Execute and lead cross-functional governance:
- Operational logistics and procurement metrics
- Monthly sales progression and targets
- Contract/source coverage and adherence
- Cost savings, cost avoidance and risks progression
- Burndown and recovery plans applicable to all value-streams
- Coordinate budget activities with other value-streams, monthly sales progressions and align targets per value-stream
- Audit value streams for process, policy and data adherence and address any gaps.
- Support the supply chain organization with cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Systems \& Tools Management
- Maintain and optimize supply chain relevant tools, including SAP S4 HANA (Procure-to-pay module), Supplier portal and internal reporting tools.
- Act as BPO (Business Process Owner) with IT department and relevant partners for supply chain relevant processes
- New tools: Gather business requirements, define business cases, support tool selection process and implementation, and maintenance.
- Develop automated reports and scripts with defined steps and methodology, allowing frequent and streamlined updates.
- Troubleshoot system issues, participate in system change roadmap, perform testing and coordinate execution to end-users
Here is what is required to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Information Technologies or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, business analysis, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA (P2P) and data visualization/reporting tools (Power BI, Visio)
- Proficiency in general programming is an asset, emphasis on Python and SQL, and tools such as GIT and Azure.
- Knowledge of Pandas, Bokeh, Flask, and Werkzeug modules is an asset
- Experience in process mapping and process improvement
- Excellent data analytical skills, ability to collect, organize and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in data management, reporting, and compliance tracking.
- Ability to translate and present data in a meaningful way to drive actions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system/process issues.
- Ability to communicate in English language, both written and verbal. Bilingual (French and English) written and verbal is an asset.
