Akkodis is partnered with a growing travel insurance \& assistance organization that is expanding their operations into the Canadian market. They're looking for a hands-on Director of IT to lead and shape its local technology operations from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to build something new while backed by the stability and reach of a major international enterprise.

What You'll Be Doing: IT Strategy \& Execution in Canada
- Shape and implement IT strategy aligned with global models, while tailoring to local business goals.
You'll identify opportunities for tech innovation, operational efficiency, and digital growth --- driving scalability and regional consistency. Deployment of Global Tools \& Tech Stack
- Collaborate with global and regional IT teams to localize, integrate, and deploy platforms and tools.
Leverage knowledge-sharing and best practices to ensure seamless infrastructure evolution and adoption. Partner Enablement \& Business Growth
- Support commercial development by representing IT in RFPs, RFIs, and onboarding new business.
Bring a confident, solution-oriented approach to partner conversations and integration projects. Operational Oversight \& Governance
- Be the hands-on tech lead and strategic thinker.
Manage day-to-day delivery, budgets, vendor relationships, cost modelling, and roadmap planning --- all while ensuring alignment with global standards and local performance needs. Performance Monitoring \& Reporting
- Own the measurement of IT success: costs, savings, impact, and effectiveness --- across local, regional, and global levels.

Points / Nice-to-haves: Industry Expertise
- Prior Insurance or a similar related financial services environment would be a major plus but not required.
Ideally looking for someone from a smaller to medium sized environment who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and supporting different IT Functions.
