We're seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mirabel, QC. In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in the inspection, fabrication, installation, and repair of aircraft structures, ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled structural tasks;
- Perform inspections, fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal structures and components;
- Document deviations and raise non-conformance reports in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as customer manuals as required;
- Determine appropriate corrective actions required to rectify deviations;
- Perform a wide range of activities related to aircraft structures;
- Perform modification activities;
- Document maintenance actions in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as customer manuals, as required;
- Complete various forms, files and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures and customer manuals, as required;
- Estimate time required to complete non-conformance reports and coordinate with various supervisors to ensure work requirements for all positions have been addressed;
- Identify and make purchase requisitions;
Qualifications
- Diploma in aircraft maintenance technology, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or other accredited course.
- Oral and written bilingualism (French - English) is important for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer site and technical documentation.
Required Skills
- 5 years' experience working on aircraft(s)
- Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative
- Have specialized technical skills
- Complete and pass training related to position;
- Update and communicate to the Human Resources Department his/her skills, work experience and professional qualifications;
- Report all incidents, accidents and potential hazards via the SMS;
- Apply and follow policies and procedures related to his/her position.
