Our valued national law firm client is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for a full-time position, supporting their Labour + Employment practice group. The successful candidate will independently manage the daily activities of their lawyer(s)' practice. The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be collaborative, professional, and adaptable.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Handling all administrative duties such as email and calendar management, coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, etc.
- Assisting other Legal Assistants and Paralegals in the Litigation department with various administrative tasks.
- Preparing and maintaining a bring-forward system, as well as providing appropriate reminders.
- Under legal professional supervision, preparing legal documents and correspondence according to precedents and/or instructions (drafting letters, revising draft documents, and preparing document comparisons).
- Transcribing digital dictation.
- Entering time dockets.
- Liaising with Billing Coordinators for the monthly production of accounts.
- Ensuring all physical and electronic filing is organized and up to date on a regular basis.
- Delegating tasks to, and coordinating with, other administrative departments.
- Other duties, as assigned by lawyers, practice group leaders or management.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited post-secondary Legal Diploma from a recognized post secondary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working in Litigation is required.
- Experience and a strong understanding of the courts process; higher levels of court (Federal, Court of Appeal), are considered an asset.
- In-depth understanding of business and legal terminology.
- Sound technical skills; proficiency in MS Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, iManage DMS, Adobe Pro, etc.
