Home Instead - Central Toronto office Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs)
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on, compassionate care in accordance with Home Instead standards and CNO guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, under the supervision of an RN or designated supervisor.
- Monitor and document residents' health status and update care plans in collaboration with the nursing team.
- Support and guide PSWs/HCAs, ensuring quality care delivery and adherence to best practices.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to families, caregivers, and medical professionals.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, lifting, repositioning, and toileting.
- Ensure safe storage and handling of all medications, especially controlled substances.
- Promote infection prevention and workplace safety at all times.
Role Highlights
- Availability to Work: 7 am to 3 pm OR 3 pm to 11 pm OR 11 pm to 7 am
- Location: Toronto
- Position Type: Casual
Compensation Structure
- RPN Day Shifts: $28/hr
- RPN Evening/Weekend Shifts: $30/hr
What We're Looking For
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Registered and in good standing with The Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
- Current First Aid \& CPR certificate
- Prior experience in long-term is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to resident care
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs
