Position SummaryThe Restaurant at Redstone is recruiting for a Sous Chef who will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and executing of all culinary efforts while maintaining a leadership role. The ideal candidate must have a flexible work schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for daily kitchen operations, both through preparatory periods and service
Ensure food quality is at the highest standard set out by the Executive ChefAssist with ordering food, maintaining inventory, and daily reporting
Provide ongoing instruction and mentorship to team members
Work alongside the Executive Chef to design recipes, create dishes, and food and wine pairings
Position RequirementsMinimum 5 years working in a professional kitchen, supervisory experience an asset
Inventory and data management experience
Open to learning, coaching and career growth
Diploma in Culinary Management and/or Chef Accreditation is preferredA strong foundation in communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environmentCompensationSalary will be based on experience
