Our client is a growing warehousing and distribution company known for its strong operational team and customer-first approach. With a commitment to excellence and efficiency, they are looking to bring on a Junior Accountant to support their day-to-day financial operations and contribute to a high-performing accounting team.
Position Summary:
As the Junior Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring smooth daily accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build experience in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Support month-end and year-end closings
- Help compile financial reports and statements
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams for invoice matching and issue resolution
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and senior accounting staff as needed
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1--2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on-site full-time, Monday to Friday
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
