Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database management, SQL scripting, Linux commands, and cloud technologies. This role requires hands-on experience in production support, incident management, and monitoring tools to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage database solutions ensuring high availability and performance.
- Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Perform database administration tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Manage Linux-based environments, executing shell scripting for automation.
- Provide production and incident support following ITSM/ITIL processes.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk (or similar) for proactive issue detection and troubleshooting.
- Work with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) for database deployment and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance and security.
Required Skills \& Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of experience in Database Engineering/Administration (Not exceeding 12 years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries.
- Hands-on experience in Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of database backup, recovery, tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with ITSM/ITIL processes for incident and change management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk or similar.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or ITIL are a plus.
