Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Engineer or Field Technician located in Sarnia, ON. The Engineer or Field Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting operational issues in oil refineries, petro-chemical, and gas processing plants.
This job is based in Sarnia, ON, Canada.
This position is a mix of office and field work, requiring hands on work, and working outside in all types of weather year round. Part of the year its cold, the other part hot, so fortunately that should average out to about room temperature. The job involves travel to client sites across Canada and the U.S.
Qualifications
- Must be physically fit, and not afraid of heights
- Clean driving and criminal record
- Good math and computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Excellent attention to safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the oil, chemical, or gas processing industries is a plus, but we will train you
- Must be eligible to work in Canada, dual Canadian / U.S. citizenship a plus
- If you grew up working on a farm, and did logistics in the armed forces, why haven't you applied already
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test on an ongoing basis as required by our clients
