The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team in Toronto. In this role, you will be instrumental in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent across technical, engineering, and business functions. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and shape the talent strategy of a high-growth, technology-driven company from the ground up.
Compensation:
Total Compensation: CAD $80,000 -- $150,000 (mix of base salary + performance incentives)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts across multiple functions including engineering, operations, and business development.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define role requirements.
- Create compelling job descriptions and recruitment campaigns to attract top talent.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, networking events, and referrals.
- Manage candidate pipelines, conduct initial screenings, schedule interviews, and oversee the hiring process.
- Develop and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies to build a robust pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Maintain an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Support employer branding initiatives to enhance Coolium's visibility as an employer of choice.
- Analyze recruiting metrics and provide regular reports to leadership on hiring progress and strategy optimization.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or sourcing experience, preferably in a high-growth tech, engineering, or startup environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to connect with candidates.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting for technical and engineering roles.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building teams and driving company growth.
- Based in Toronto, with flexibility for occasional in-person meetings and events.
