Our client, a respected full-service firm with a strong financial services and business law practice, is looking to add a Banking \& Financing Lawyer to their North York office. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with experience in non-litigious banking , insolvency , or commercial finance to join a collaborative, down-to-earth team representing major banks, trustees, and private lenders.
🔍 What You'll Do
• Advise banks and lenders on regulatory, operational, and compliance matters
• Counsel trustees, receivers, and debtors in insolvency and restructuring files
• Act as lead/supporting counsel in a wide range of financing transactions:

- Secured \& unsecured lending

- Asset-based \& equipment financing

- Inventory and floor planning

- Real estate \& construction lending

- Letters of credit and commercial paper
• Collaborate with Corporate and Litigation teams for integrated legal support
✅ What We're Looking For
• 3--10 years of experience in banking, insolvency, or commercial finance law
• Knowledge of debtor-creditor law and regulatory frameworks
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and structuring skills
• Business-savvy legal judgment and excellent client management
