Come join the Intuit AppFabric Platform team as a Software Developer 2 to help the team build and maintain backend apps and infrastructure that power major applications for TurboTax, QuickBooks, and more.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support the backend ecosystem of platform and services at Intuit.
- Work on high-performance services with a focus on operational excellence.
- Gather functional requirements, develop specifications, and plan projects and tests.
- Resolve defects and bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet commitments.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams such as product management, design, and business units to drive results.
- Contribute to team success and foster positive team dynamics.
- Apply Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Manage AWS stack and related services on Kubernetes.
- Have industry experience with backend services using Java and/or Node.js.
- Optional: Experience with Server Side Rendering solutions and MicroFront end technology.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and practical application.
- Hands-on experience with backend programming languages such as Node.js and Java.
- Experience developing scalable cloud-hosted products (AWS).
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of web services (REST or SOAP).
- Understanding of unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to make independent decisions.
