As the Cryptography Architect at Quantum Bridge, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our flagship products. Working closely with the software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing robust security architectures and ensuring that all cryptographic protocols, cryptographic primitives, and system components are secure and resilient against threats. This role involves assessing existing and proposed architectures, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and implementing effective countermeasures.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate secure practices into every layer of the technology stack, from network security to data encryption, and conduct thorough reviews of protocols and processes. This position is not primarily that of an IT professional, but requires a deep understanding of security principles, cryptography, threat modelling, and industry standards to drive secure design practices across the organization. The role demands a person that is passionate about teamwork.

What you'll do:Design and implement secure cryptographic protocols and architectures that align with industry standards and best practices for data protection, network security, and access control. Conduct in-depth security reviews of cryptographic primitives, protocols, and system components to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Develop security frameworks and guidelines to ensure secure integration of protocols across all technology layers. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security requirements into the design and development process, providing expert advice on security controls and configurations. Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to proactively address potential security risks and improve the architecture's resilience.
Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to incorporate into design recommendations.Document security policies, procedures, and technical specifications to guide teams in implementing and maintaining a secure architecture. Gather, define, and document security requirements for new and existing systems by collaborating closely with stakeholders, including engineering, product, and compliance teams, to ensure the company's products align with organizational security goals and regulatory standards. What you'll need to succeed:A strong understanding of security and cryptography
An intuitive grasp of algorithms, mathematics and statistics10+ years of experience as Security Engineer, Security Architect or equivalent role5+ years experience in LinuxSolid understanding of cryptography, network protocols, security practices, software architecture, system architecture
Great communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with internal engineering team and external parties
Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely document complex security concepts, protocols, and technical specifications for diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership
Experience with standardization processes and activities such as IETF, CMVP, Common Criteria, etc.. would be a big plus
