Primary Responsibilities:
- Learn to handle optics, read blueprints, and use measuring equipment
- Assemble products according to provided specifications
- Utilize calibrated equipment as part of the manufacturing process
- Follow work flow instructions from Supervision/Group Leads
- Use good visual acuity to identify imperfections in parts or assemblies
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic data entry and computer work
- Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
Qualifications \& Experience:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and work shiftwork
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with technology
- Ability to understand technical problems and make sound decisions
- Familiarity with the metric system
- Motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
