Agropur is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for the evening shift to join is Truro team.
Working hours are from 2pm to 11pm.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the facility, utilities and energy systems as well as the plant buildings and grounds. This role involves ensuring the reliability, efficiency and safety of all equipment, including compliance of the building and energy utility systems.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor manages his work team and ensures that performance objectives (Health, Safety, Quality, Costs, Equipment Health, Environment) are achieved in a collaborative culture. He participates in improving and maintaining the preventive and predictive maintenance program. He works in close collaboration with the maintenance supervisory team, the maintenance planner, the inventory coordinator, production leaders, as well as the coordinators of other departments.

Salary range 005: 78 600$ to 108 000$ $ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training \& experience related to the position.)
What's involved in this role:
More specifically, the Truro Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities will include:

Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance work on equipment, building \& grounds and utility systems.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
-
Manage maintenance budgets and optimize resources.
-
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and effective communication.

Continuously improve maintenance processes.
-
Write maintenance and utility management reports.
-
Assign and manage planned and unplanned work '‹throughout the facility
-
Review and track the maintenance schedule and the quality of the work execution

Perform Preventive Maintenance audits, ensure proper completion and health of equipment.'‹

Coordinates and supervises work through work orders in the CMMS and the issuance of various work permits.

Participates in work prioritization in collaboration with various plant stakeholders.

Participates in failure analysis, continuous improvement of operations, and initiates problem-solving with work teams.

Coordinate and supervise outside contractors.

Ability to interpret and explain department policies and procedures.

Ensures compliance with the collective agreement while ensuring management is based on business partnerships with all on-site employees.

Manage the skills \& competencies of his team.

Leads performance meetings with the work teams.

Approves and monitors hours worked, vacations, and schedules.

Replaces the other maintenance supervisor, if necessary.
What you need to join our team:
-
University or college degree in engineering or a related field.
-
3-5 years experience in maintenance and utility management in a unionized environment.

5 years facility/maintenance experience in food production environment required.

Proficient in Excel, other Microsoft programs and CMMS.
