Reporting to the Special Events Manager, the Special Events Supervisor will be responsible for executing National promotions and Special Events, ensuring the effective promotion of Maple Lodge Farms products during events.

What you will be doing:
- Supervises all Team Leaders and Team Members in their day-to-day activities including scheduling for all events. Year-round staff of 3-5 and seasonal staff of 20-30.
- With SET Manager, responsible for the training of all staff, from health \& safety to equipment and product knowledge.
- Key contact person for venues and event organizers on behalf of Maple Lodge Farms and Zabiha Halal brands.
- Responsible to visit/inspect set-up at all major events.
- Assists the Manager with shop maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assist the Manager to ensure fleet and equipment is up to code and maintained.
- Oversee licensing, certifications, and training of drivers.
- First point of contact regarding event issues. Troubleshoots and makes decisions quickly and ensures clear communication to management.
- Consolidates and provides insight regarding event effectiveness and attendance in the future.
- Makes recommendations on events to consider for the future.
- Manages the donations programs to Maple Lodge Farms charitable partners.
- Works alongside Manager to deliver annual KPI targets regarding events attended, coupon distribution, samples distributed, etc.
- People Supervision:
- a. Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
- b. Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development and overall contribution to the achievement of Maple Lodge Farms business strategy.
- Policies, Processes \& Procedures
- a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
b. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of improved department specific processes, policies and procedures.
What you will bring:
- Must have 2-3 years experience in the planning and execution of events and promotions;
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality an asset
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS an asset
- Team-player with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
- Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities;
- Knowledge of process improvement tools;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential;
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field preferred or work experience.
