Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Provide technical support and maintenance
Install, maintain and configure network hardware and equipment, routers and switches
Perform service monitoring and reporting, with a focus on risk management and compliance
Explore new solutions, enhancements and opportunities for continuous improvement, projects and more
Perform the acquisition, provisioning and decommissioning of related equipment, software and services
Formally document change requests and manage the changes
Manage external service providers
Foster and develop a trusting relationship with the customer as well as internal resources, and be the customer advocate

Good understanding of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity, disaster recovery, risk analysis and prepare business case
In-depth knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client) and the desktop operating environment. Linux and other mainstream OS knowledge will be helpful.
Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
Advanced knowledge of infrastructure service management \& diagnostic tools and processes
Advanced knowledge of end-point security management tools and processes
Understanding of IT Infrastructure asset lifecycle management
Extensive experience in the design of local area and wide area networks. Complexity of projects ranges from simple projects with minimal risks/ uncertainty to medium level projects with some high impact risks and multiple project variables with uncertainty.
Excellent understanding of IP, MPLS, WAN, Ethernet, Wireless networking technologies.
Experience with Sonic Operating System on Dell or any other hardware.
Experience with data center design, security principles, computing infrastructure.
Engaged by the unknowns of implementing emergent technologies and industry standards.
Experience with Cisco 6500 and Nexus 5000 is highly desired.
Must have experience working in an enterprise Datacenter environment.

Job Description

Cloud migration experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

7 to 10 years of related experience. Experience in similar job roles such as the design of local area and wide area networks.
2 to 4 years experience in a similar technical analyst/ network specialist role supporting Cisco equipment and software
Experience with Sonic Operating System on Dell or any other hardware
Experience on IP networks and Cisco Networking Products
