Research Institute of the MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre located in Montreal, Quebec. It is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Technical Platform Manager - Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), and following established governmental guidelines and regulations, the incumbent is responsible for conducting primarily computed tomography (CT Scan) and magnetic resonance (MRI) examinations for the RI-MUHC clinical studies.
The Centre for Innovative Medicine is located in the new Glen site hospital, a unique 5000 m2 facility dedicated exclusively to clinical research in Canada.

General Duties
- Receive and prepare patients, explain the exam procedures.
- Perform imaging examinations primarily in Computed Tomography (CT-Scan) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) according to clinical research protocols and imaging manuals for adults and children. Use other imaging modalities as required by the study.
- Insert catheters and inject contrast agents as needed.
- Book appointments with study coordinators.
- Scan medical requisitions and print labels.
- Anonymize and upload images using web portals to transmit to sponsors and respond to queries.
- Ensure safety around magnetic fields and equipment conformity.
- Upload images to PACS.
- Meet with research teams upon request.
- Act as liaison between study coordinators and research radiologists.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.
