Job Description
AltaGas is seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst with a passion and interest in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management. You will work closely with Category Managers and other Supply Chain Management (SCM) leaders to support high-quality, data-driven reporting, analysis, insights (e.g., performance, risks, and opportunities), and related decisions.
This position is based out of the AltaGas Calgary office where you will be expected to work 4 days a week on-site.
You Will:
- Be responsible for data collection from various financial and management systems, data cleansing, modeling, analysis, and creation of dashboards and reports.
- Support developing the data management strategy, implementation, tracking, and reporting of performance indicators, data interpretation, and visualization.
- Train internal team members and stakeholders on various tools and applications.
- Support the SCM team in areas such as spend, cost, supply market intelligence, demand, and category planning, coordinating with stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Digital/IT, business units) to ensure data system functionality and accuracy.
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management focus preferred)
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics and/or Supply Chain Management
- Experience in data management and analysis, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SQL, Power BI, and/or other BI tools
- Ability to think analytically and perform financial analysis
- Strong listening, curiosity, and questioning skills
- Ability to collaborate and develop good working relationships with teammates and business partners
- Initiative, time management, and multi-project support skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of presenting to small groups
- Attention to detail, noticing inconsistencies and potential risks
- Problem-solving aptitude
