Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Journeyman Plumber - Maintenance at MEC Mechanical Inc., located in Vancouver, BC. The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, heating systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Daily tasks include inspecting plumbing systems, identifying issues, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with all local, provincial, and national plumbing codes. The role requires close collaboration with other maintenance personnel and the use of various plumbing tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in installing and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and national plumbing codes and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license in British Columbia
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
- Experience with various plumbing tools and equipment
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent training
