Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Achieving or exceeding the annual revenue target for Ontario or another specified region by leveraging relationships to penetrate existing accounts and prospecting new ones in research, development, and manufacturing markets.
- Generating new business aligned with our market focus, operational capabilities, and laboratory capacity.
- Identifying and securing opportunities through face-to-face meetings and virtual presentations.
- Collaborating effectively across the organization to advance opportunities.
- Mentoring colleagues on the Inside Business Development team based on experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Experience selling services in the bio/pharmaceutical sector, such as CDMO, CRO, or CTO; practical lab experience in biotech/pharma is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Strong scientific knowledge and capacity to learn new technical information.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Based in the Toronto, Canada region near an international airport.
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, MBA in marketing/business, or equivalent experience (two years of industry experience equals one year of college).
- At least two years of bio/pharmaceutical sales, project management, or drug development experience, preferably in contract services or testing services.
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
