Position Overview: The Coordinator of Learning Services - Inclusive Learning at Cougar Canyon Community Hub manages the day-to-day implementation of the program, collaborates with classroom teachers, develops educational plans, coordinates therapeutic supports, and supports inclusive learning environments. The role involves providing classroom-embedded consultative and professional learning support to schools, supporting the development of inclusive practices, and liaising with various community and provincial agencies. The Coordinator also works to build networks and communities of practice to enhance inclusive and universal practices across schools.
Qualifications:
- Master's or equivalent in Inclusion and Equity
- Experience with ABA and positive Behavioural supports
- Successful classroom teaching experience
- Experience supporting students with Ministry of Education Special Needs designations, including social, emotional, mental health, and self-regulation needs
- Liaising experience with provincial resource programs, Ministry of Children and Family Development, and community agencies
- Experience supporting educators in creating inclusive and accessible learning environments
- Experience working in school and district teams for student success
- Ability to adapt to new tools and practices in a changing educational landscape
- Exploration and implementation of Indigenous perspectives in teaching practices
