Your Role Mechanical Project Manager Pickering, Ontario
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction specialists, contractors, vendors and other project support staff/stakeholders.
- Manage nuclear related projects. Manage staff and subcontractors to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations
- Monitors, tracks and controls project budget, schedule, and performance of projects
- Identifies ways to improve project outcomes.
- Provide leadership to the Project Team
- Communicate project updates with client and other key stakeholders
- Client delivery responsibility and establishing requirements as per procurement procedure
- Assembles and leads meetings with project team members to communicate project scopes
Qualifications
- A university degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant experience
- 5+ years experience in project management experience that includes leading and managing large multidiscipline projects, or large single discipline projects
- Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) and/or PMP certification would be a strong asset
- Strong client management skills required to address challenging client requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Working experience in principles and practices of nuclear engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred.
- Nuclear (OPG or Bruce Power) experience is considered an asset
- Experienced in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans and budgets.
- Coaching, professional service management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
