Purpose
Contribute to the success of Asset Servicing by executing individual goals and initiatives that support the team's business strategies and objectives, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Manage end-to-end processes of all Income events performed by the Income Processing Team, focusing on staff management, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships.
- Ensure operational efficiency of Income Processing by organizing, prioritizing, and supervising workflows, monitoring work in progress, and checking/authorizing income transactions.
- Implement new processes/systems, identify challenges, and pursue opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Provide high-level customer service by completing transactions accurately and promptly, responding to inquiries, and offering technical expertise.
- Develop the team through productivity coaching, training, and performance appraisals.
- Manage risk and minimize losses by reviewing and signing off on team work, ensuring procedural controls are followed, and challenging existing procedures.
- Assist the department manager by updating control accounts, training team members, and supporting functions with volumes and projects.
- Consider the Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
- Ensure effective operations and adherence to business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? -- We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Asset Servicing industry experience/knowledge.
- People management experience.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (preferred).
- Expert knowledge of Income Processing, stock borrow loan transactions, fail trades, and market entitlements compensations.
- Proficiency with data and high attention to detail.
- Strong technical abilities, including knowledge of basic software engineering principles (experience in SQL, VBA, Access, Excel preferred).
- Strong knowledge of related processing systems related to entitlement activity which includes various Broadridge products including ADP, Gloss, IMPACT, DTC, and/or depository exposure to CDS, Clearstream, BNP, Citi, HSBC.
Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
