++Position Summary:++
We are seeking a motivated, mid-level Structural Steel Detailer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of detailing experience and a background working with Tekla Structures, or a strong willingness to learn. You will prepare high-quality fabrication and erection drawings, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to our culture of precision and excellence.
++Responsibilities:++
· Interpret project contract documents and communicate requirements clearly to the Engineering Manager and Structural Lead.
· Prepare submittal, fabrication, and erection drawings for complex structural and miscellaneous metals projects.
· Coordinate detailing efforts with team members to prevent conflicts and ensure drawing accuracy.
· Update drawings and resolve customer or field issues in collaboration with the Structural Lead.
· Generate bills of materials, saw lists, and shipping lists.
· Prepare fabrication work orders and complete job packages.
· Export NC and DXF files as required by project specifications.
· Participate in fabrication reviews and assist the Shop Manager in addressing shop floor issues.
· Track project progress and report weekly to the Engineering Manager.
· Support a positive team environment through active collaboration and problem-solving.
++Requirements:++
· Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Structural Detailing or related field.
· 4-6 years of proven experience in structural steel detailing.
· Proficiency with Tekla Structures preferred, or strong willingness to learn.
· Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes and construction methods.
· Strong ability to interpret Architectural and Structural drawings.
· Familiarity with welding symbols and connection detailing.
· High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
