Job Description
The Territory Sales Manager, reporting to the General Manager, will oversee operations in Ontario and Western Canada. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, expanding the customer base, conveying client needs to the internal team, delivering presentations, overseeing service interactions, and ensuring successful equipment delivery.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Sales:
- Analyze customer needs and support them in identifying and addressing their requirements.
- Deliver presentations of submissions and contract details prepared by internal sales staff.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary contact with clients, managing the complete sales cycle from contract signing to delivery.
- Ensure customer requests are properly handled by the after-sales/support team.
- Contribute to new product development and market penetration.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess project feasibility.
- Participate in project launch meetings.
- Report activities and progress regularly to the General Manager.
Research and Marketing:
- Identify and engage with potential new clients proactively.
- Participate in industry exhibitions within the territory.
- Conduct market research for product improvements.
- Monitor market dynamics and competition in the territory.
Qualifications
- Education or experience in mechanical, electrical, business, sales, or as a Key Account Manager.
- Experience in the industrial market.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical or electrical concepts.
- English proficiency; French is optional.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with business software.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
- Leadership qualities and motivation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Results-oriented with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strategic thinking for growth opportunities.
Work Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Base salary around $100,000 with total compensation including commissions reaching $150,000 to $200,000.
