Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? As Associate of Business Marketing, Canada you will work as part of RBC Capital Markets' Client and Marketing Strategy Group. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Marketing Canada you will be responsible for the development, creation, implementation and execution of marketing tactics that support a broad range of RBC Capital Markets businesses in Canada.
Your mandate will include creating and managing Capital Markets content and product marketing campaigns, generating innovative ideas, providing marketing advice, developing effective marketing strategies, and implementing initiatives designed to support Corporate \& Investment Banking, Sustainable Finance, Global Markets and Global Research businesses in Canada. There is also a large global component to this role as you will be responsible as a key contributor to global initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with our Capital Markets business partners, Digital Channels team, Conferences \& Events team, Corporate Communications team, and members of the Client and Marketing Strategy Group in the US, Europe \& APAC to develop marketing plans and execute tactics.
What will you do? Work with senior-level business leaders and a team of cross-functional marketing partners -- Content Strategy \& Insights, Digital and Social Media, Brand, Conferences and Events and Creative Studio -- to execute strategic initiatives. Be the project manager for specific marquee Canadian and global marketing programs -- from planning budget development and content strategy to execution.
Represent the regional businesses on global projects and campaigns -- from strategic program development to regional execution and reporting. Develop effective presentations on various Marketing initiatives and programs to share with RBCCM leadership and other internal and external partners to gain input and buy-in. Develop value propositions, positioning, messaging, and creative assets to align with client needs and business objectives.
Work cross-functionally to ensure positioning and messaging is consistent across all client touchpoints. Create impactful marketing assets, collateral, and sales enablement materials that strengthen the brand, and drive client engagement and consideration in key strategic growth areas for Canadian Capital Markets businesses. Develop marketing product-related content for multi-channel campaigns across a wide variety of media, including brochures, pitch books, websites, videos, podcasts, email campaigns, sales enablement materials, and events.
Work collaboratively to deliver marketing campaigns for select products and services, successfully project managing campaign deliverables cross-functionally and globally within the firm, and with external agencies, from strategy to planning to execution. Work with marketing analytics and performance teams to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Manage asset development with internal creative teams or external agencies to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.
Facilitate review and incorporation of feedback from stakeholders and compliance. Strive for continuous improvement, constantly looking for ways to innovate, improve effectiveness and efficiency. Prioritize and respond to requests from Sales, Banking and Product teams for new client-centric materials -- fact sheets, newsletters, and brochures.
Manage and execute requests to update existing materials. Track marketing, social media and email metrics using various internal tools such as Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor, Marketo, LinkedIn, Twitter. Coordinate with the global team to execute on a range of social media initiatives.
This includes the tracking and planning of social media activity in Canada and executing on social posting through RBC Capital Markets corporate social media accounts.
