WSP is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Buildings team in Toronto/GTA. To thrive in this environment, you are most likely a trained architect or engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience in building construction or multi-discipline design project management, and comfortable in a leadership role.
This role can be stationed at any of our offices in the GTA.
The Project Manager ensures the success of assigned projects by harnessing necessary resources and managing their deployment to achieve our client's objectives. What you will do at WSP
- Prepare proposals, project cost estimates, and schedules for construction and design projects;
- Take ownership of project delivery through all lifecycle phases;
- Be the key contact with the Client or on behalf of the Client on technical and administrative matters;
- Liaise with project stakeholders and relevant agencies;
- Manage project budget, schedule, stakeholders, and quality;
- Coordinate work of contractors, designers, and suppliers;
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications for completeness and alignment;
- Identify risks and implement mitigation measures;
- Perform tasks to ensure successful project delivery;
- Contribute to knowledge transfer through guidance, peer review, and mentoring.
What you bring to WSP
- Undergraduate Degree or Technologist Certificate in engineering or architecture, or equivalent;
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant project management experience in construction, transit, multi-discipline design, or related fields;
- Transportation experience is an asset;
- Strategic, conceptual, analytical thinking and decision-making skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm as a team player;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Designations like PMP are assets;
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects of varied complexity with minimal supervision.
