Company events and outingsPPE and work vehicle provided What You'll Be Doing In The RoleManage the delivery of assigned projects to meet budget, timelines, and quality requirements, while maintaining a team approach within the Industrial Construction group
Effectively and regularly working with group Project Coordinator and Industrial Construction team to collaboratively create the ongoing work schedule. Ensure ongoing tracking, maintenance, updating of progress on projects, cost and scheduling. Provide oversight and direction to ensure materials are being purchased cost-effectively and accurately to meet project deliverables
Work closely with Project Coordinators and Estimator to support all quotations
Represent the company positively at all times and continuously explore/communicate business development opportunities to appropriate persons/teams in the company for actioning
Provide timely and accurate communication of issues and resolutions in coordination with the team and vendors
Manage and advocate with customers, external engineers, and vendors on technical requirements and work closely with them in a professional manner to deliver quality and cost(1)effective projects
Actively support field teams to ensure their work can be carried out accurately and at a high standard of quality
Prepare regular summary reporting for the leadership team to understand project progress, current and anticipated issues, and mitigation
Regularly visit active project sites to maintain a firsthand understanding of the issues at site, and to enable a clear understanding of site progress and issues
Provide scope and review with subcontractors to obtain quotations for work and coordinate schedules
What You Bring To The RolePost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction or similar area of study and/or Electrical Trade LicenseAt least 5 years of experience in a Project Management role focused on Industrial Construction and at least 10 years of progressive experience in the same field
Experience in the electrical distribution industry is mandatory with solid knowledge of high voltage systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work professionally and effectively in cross-functional teams. A proven ability to work effectively with external partners, vendors and stakeholders is essential. Strong construction and safety knowledge is required.
Certifications and training in construction safety are an asset. Highly detail-oriented with an ability to develop, implement, and control projects and manage budgets effectively. High sense of urgency and proven ability to prioritize work to meet defined milestones
Strong computer skills including full MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project is a bonus/preferred). Experience with project management software is an asset.Travel throughout Ontario to project sites is required, but work is mainly in the GTA and surrounding areas.#MT1
