Human Resources Generalist - Role Details:
- Contract Type:3-month temporary contract
- Pay Rate:$33-$35/hour (based on experience)
- Hours:Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Location:On-site
Human Resources Generalist - Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal investigations and employee meetings, escalating matters to HR leadership when required
- Lead or support employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary documentation
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for administrative roles; assist with hiring for production roles
- Support the rollout of HR policies, procedures, and internal communications
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on employment standards and workplace policies
- Support WSIB claim management and return-to-work coordination as needed
- Administer attendance management initiatives and provide reporting or support as needed
- Facilitate or support internal training programs
- Offer mentorship and day-to-day support to junior HR team members
Human Resources Generalist - Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or related field
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or in progress) is preferred
- Experience working in unionized and/or manufacturing environments is an asset
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and WSIB processes
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
