The Regional Human Resource Manager aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at office and field locations within the region. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers, ensuring plans are administered in accordance with provincial, state and federal regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices pertaining to HR operations.
HR ADMINISTRATION
Provide a broad range of basic to complex level of administrative and/or specialized support HR services to operations and management
Have a hand in all HR Functions, being a true business partner
Advise on appropriate legislation and stay on top of the rapidly changing environment
Assist with the daily workflow of the HR function
Complete onboarding process, including background check within the region
Assist with processing hiring and terminations
Process and maintain required documents to ensure accurate record-keeping including employee files
Prepare required documents for payroll changes
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and queries
Provide general administrative support to operations as required

Processes required documents through insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping
Reconciles benefits statements
Assist employees with benefit claims
Maintain and verify data related to premiums renewals in ADP
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and queries related to benefits
Assist with annual renewal process and open enrollment
COMPLIANCE
Compliance with data security regulations, Fair Labor Standards Act, Civil Rights Act, Affordable Care Act in the US
Compliance with the Employment Standard legislation in Canada
General business compliance pertaining to HR operations such as but no limited to Affordable Care Act reporting, EEO-1 reporting, COBRA, 401K audit and year end compliance, POP
