Serving Clerk -- Carvers Retail Store
Summary:
As a Serving Clerk at Carvers, you play an essential role in delivering an excellent customer experience by ensuring prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service. Success in this position means being reliable, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Serving Clerks are an important part of the Carvers team, helping maintain our reputation for high-quality products and outstanding service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer questions about products and provide recommendations based on customer needs.
- Prepare and package meat products accurately and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
- Ensure shelves and displays are stocked and properly labeled.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed.
- Follow all health and safety standards and procedures.
- Continuously learn about our products, including different cuts of beef, to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of beef cuts is an asset, but training can be provided.
- Previous experience in retail or food service is considered an asset.
